Group Yoga Classes
Beginner and Mindful Yoga Classes
The focus of weekly group classes is to work on improving your everyday “functional movement.” In other words, the goal is to maintain and improve the ways in which you move in your daily life.
Eva’s Group Yoga Classes
CHAIR YOGA
MAT YOGA
Chair yoga includes mindful movement, postures, stretches, and breathing. These are done while seated in a chair, plus optional standing poses using the chair for support. Chair yoga is ideal for anyone uncomfortable with, or unable to get down to the ground and back up again.
This class is beneficial for older adults or anyone with limited mobility due to injuries, surgery, or other health issues. Wheelchair users can also benefit from chair yoga.
Hatha yoga, traditionally practiced on a yoga mat, includes mindful movement, postures, stretches, and breathing.
In mat yoga, poses may be performed while reclined (on the back), prone (on the belly), seated, standing, and on hands and/or knees.
Options, including yoga props, are offered for everyone to adjust each pose to their body.
