What Channel Are You On?

I believe that it is important to surround yourself with people, things, and activities that inspire you, especially since we have so many negative things coming at us each day.

Think of it as having your TV on a channel that feeds your brain constantly. The "channel" you choose to watch, hear, and think about can change how you feel. And what you feel can spread to others, good or bad.

You may have noticed that most of my weekly messages over the past 2 years or so are more often about feelings than physical movement. That is because it is what I have needed for myself, and what many of you have told me has been helpful.

In yoga, we do physically practice stretching, engaging muscles, and moving through poses. However, it is a mind/body practice, meaning that it's more than the physical. It's connecting physical to mental and emotional, and to the energy we feel and share.

Yoga is said to be an inner-cise rather than just exercise. So if you're feeling low or anxious, it may just be time to change the channel.

If you would like to explore yoga that helps uplift you, you can work with me in group classes or 1-on-1 sessions via Zoom or in-person, and video recordings.
